Homicide – Arrest: C22-80520

As previously released:

On April 20, 2022, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to an active fire at a two-story residence in the 600 block of Flora Avenue. A deceased adult male was located within the residence. 

The deceased has been identified as Steven Andrew MINGO, a 30-year-old male of Winnipeg.

Update:

A nineteen-year-old male, who was seventeen at the time of the offence, has been charged with the following:

  • Second Degree Murder

He was detained in custody.

In April 2024, The Winnipeg Police Service released the following image of two individuals who were in the area around the time of the murder.

Members of the Homicide Unit are still looking to identify these 2 individuals.
