On August 13, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service's North District officers responded to the report of a stabbing incident on a transit bus near Main Street and Selkirk Avenue.
A male victim in his 30s was stabbed during an unprovoked altercation with a male and female suspect while aboard a transit bus. The male and female suspect fled, and police were contacted.
He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and was upgraded to stable condition.
The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is working with Transit to establish descriptions of the suspects.
