Update – Homicide Investigation: C24-60911

Released: August 20, 2024 at 7:47 a.m.

As previously released:

On March 18, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Selkirk Avenue regarding a deceased male who had been shot.

The deceased was identified as Edgar Allan BEAR, 56 years old, a member of the Peguis First Nation currently residing in Winnipeg. 

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation.

Maxim Dale GARNEAU, 27 years old, was identified as a suspect and arrested for 2nd  Degree Murder.

Update:

Breanne Joan BRUYERE, 25 years old (seen in the image below), is currently wanted for Manslaughter and Obstructing Justice.
